So you know about that civil rights movie that the director of Precious, Lee Daniels, is crafting titled Selma?  Well, he has got his man to play Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr in actor, David Oyelowo, [source] who was the lead in As You Like It and next to Forest Whitaker in that awesome movie, The Last King of Scotland.

In music news, there are some really out there reports of Beyonce and Lady Gaga kicking it together since their little Telephone colab.  There is even a photo of the two - cartoon that is - of the two getting too close.  Well, that’s a bunch of nonsense.  No, I don’t have proof but it just doesn’t make much sense.

Oh yeah, while Beyonce and Jay Z are in the drop, how about that “colab” between those two.  I have been reading lately through Google translation and more that the marriage is more than the “I do” contract but a bunch of bones come behind it in the millions.  Now this isn’t news to some, but it is to others —not to me.  Beyonce said it herself though so technically it isn’t rumor if it comes straight out of her mouth.  See more on this marriage issue here.  Whatever…they’re still married.  Contract or no contract.  Guess it is just great to get some info out of the marriage as the two are oh so private!

There is some not too great news out here surrounding a Jay-Z after party in London.  Word is coming out of the Daily Star that white people were getting turned away at the line when they attempted to enter the VIP celebration while all people other than white were being allowed in.  The party was being put on by Collective Entertainment Group, and according to reports, many fans were left highly upset and disgusted, even saying things like “The security guards were happy to let in all party-goers apart from the white people.”

What now??

Looks like Jay-Z is going to have to speak on this one as he is now an international brand.  Now get it right, Jay-Z didn’t turn them back, but the bouncers did.  Many say that it was crystal clear that only other than white were being let back.  Did Jay-Z know or just didn’t think to examine the crowd like that?  No one knows… but check the rest of the story at Daily Star.

Brazil is the place where Alicia Keys is going to be shooting her next video - Put It In A Love Song - and she will be doing it with Beyonce Knowles.  It looks like so many things are falling into place right now for Alicia, as word is she is engaged to Swizz Beatz, who by the way is producing the video just like he produced a ring on her finger.    As far as how the whole video will come out looking, it will be a carnival theme right there in Rio de Janeiro.

Speaking of Beyonce, you know how everyone was stunned that she mentioned loving Jay-Z at the mic during the Grammys.  Well, Jay-Z was just as stunned.  Word is, he ask his wife what she said again, and then she realized that she overstepped her boundaries and his as well as far as their relationship is concerned.  Overstepped??  Whateva.  If you can’t say you love you man, then what is the point?  Those two need to cool off with the overly private stuff because that didn’t apply to private.  Give it a rest.

While the lawsuits are popping up everywhere, Jay-Z is getting in on the mix.  In short, Jay-Z purchased property in NY for J Hotel and the property wasn’t a cheap deal over 100 million in total.  Well, when the economy sank, so did the hopes for the hotel, so there weren’t enough investors putting it on it, therefore, Jay-Z gave it up, offering the firm Highland Capital Management LP the property(land) back.  Apparently, because the firm was said to be dragging their feet in taking back the property, Jay-z ended up racking up interest on an in the millions loan.  Thus the lawsuit for 3.7 mill.  Jay wants that money back, jack.
