Dear Ray,

I know that you and I are clear on where we are along this journey together, but I get a lot of questions about us…especially after that reunion show fiasco…and thought it wise to openly express my thoughts and feelings – for clarity’s sake, for honesty’s sake, for peace’s sake.

This is exactly how the letter starts, word for word, that Mz Berry has openly written for the world to see directed to Ray J of For the Love of Ray J. We all are well aware that Mz Berry won the second season of For the Love of Ray J, only to be left stunned during the reunion fiasco. There was so much drama that reality viewers have found ourselves wondering…what is the deal? Well continue on reading Mz Berry’s blog, and below are my personal faves from the letter:

For us, that reality is that you love me for what I represent now, and I love you for who you’re destined to be.

There’s not a lot in your life and current lifestyle that would push you to change and grow. I get that. But there is something in your spirit that’s calling out to and longing for change. I stand here as a symbol of what that change may look like…once you’re truly ready.

The thing that I like about Mz Berry is that she is real enough to put it out there. In that last quote I took from the letter, Mz Berry even shows how she has been there and done that, but overall, Ray J has that great space to move and maneuver back her way…of course…when he grows up and out of that lifestyle.

In Unique’s own words, getting her 15 minutes of fame, she turned it all into a career, using not body but brains.  If everyone can remember, this was one of the things that stood out and apart from many of the other women competing for Ray J’s love in the first season of For the Love of Ray J.  This is a great thing in many ways, and despite the fact that many people hated on Unique, she is still getting the job done, haterism or no haterism.  Bottom line, you have to give it up to any woman holding her own down…yes, she has a business.  Hear more about it below in the interview.

BTW and speaking of not much emphasis on body while on the show, Unique has much emphasis on the body part nowadays.  She has lit her arm up with diamond piercings in a count of what looks like four below:

So this is quite a change. Most of the time what we hear from reality show love contestants is a bunch of ranting, raving and a not so pursuit of happiness even though they say that is what they are living it up in afterwards - happiness.

Mz Berry recently joined the blogosphere, and below is a clip of what she had to say under her real name…Connie DeVeaux.  There is no foul language, no empty-headedness and really no over the top, looking for the spotlight words.  All of what Mz Berry wrote is pretty much heartfelt, or so it seems from the reading - you can catch the full blog post at this link.  Check it out.  Impressed and much props.  Finally a reality contestant that seems to have…well…sense.

No other emotion…feeling…mindset speaks more clearly of who I am at this juncture in my life than gratitude.  I am eternally grateful for the experiences – good, bad, and indifferent – that have no doubt led me to this very place.  I am grateful for the blessings. I am grateful for the failures.  I am grateful for the opportunities.  I am grateful for the stumbles.  I am grateful to be here.

I am grateful to God for allowing me to be a vessel through which life was given because in my children each day I see the possibility for greatness.  In them I become more a believer of true, unconditional love.  God’s love.  I am grateful to my mother for letting me breathe my first breath of life.  Thank you for not snuffing out my life before I had a chance to show you that although man meant it for bad, God always means it for good.  I thank you on behalf of myself, my children, and those whose lives I’ve touched.  You gave me breath and with that one breath I am now able to breathe life into so many others.  Thank you.  I am grateful to my children who require me to be honest about this life and to be a better person each day because they are my highest thought.  I am ever so grateful to my family and friends who have an unshakable belief in me and in what I can accomplish that I am able to soar above obstacles and believe in myself as well.  And to my fans…my followers…thank you, thank you, thank you.

On to the next episode and this time it is Cocktail on the line, you know, Ray J’s reality ex who busted up the For the Love of Ray J Reunion 2 show.  Well, now, it looks like Cocktail is busting up the interview that Mz Berry had when she called the reunion show scripted.  Cocktail is saying that it wasn’t anywhere near scripted as Mz Berry said “to make herself feel better”(words of Cocktail), Ray J is a dog and a liar, and the yaddah dee daddah.  Thing is, isn’t that mess all obvious BEFORE going on the show?  Really, how many really believe that Ray J or any other man/woman need a reality show to find love??  Come on now…get REAL.  Entertainment is all.  Hate it for anyone that truly puts their heart into it that’s for sure.

Before even getting into all the other drama…as a matter of fact…leave the other drama alone for a good solid minute.  What in the world is going on with Lava from the For the Love of Ray J?  All jokes aside, Ray J was looking out of the side of his eye the entire night!  Joker was scaarrreed, and that’s the real reason why he took Flossy back up to his room!  Lava was gonna burn the house down.

For those who didn’t watch, this lady with the mug somewhere on this screen
(left) named Lava sat in Ray J’s room, but not only did she sit in his room, she peered out amongst the tub goers while upon the balcony after arguing with him and telling him that she likes aggression and has been known to knock a sucka out.  Huh??  Psychopath needs to take herself on  home…and that’s just what happened.  Woman was just rubbing all on her forehead and thinking strange thoughts…yeah…you could see the thoughts.  They were floating on the screen, no lie!  Crazy dude.  And she said it in one word…paranoia.  Ya got that right, and branded on her forehead.

Okay so gotta go to the smasher of the homey, Luscious…yes, it’s now safe to change her name to The Smasher of the Homey Part 2 because that sums it all up.  You know, it kind of gets strange when people behave as if they are so

afraid to tell the truth about a situation such as this, but while in the situation smashin the homey, all that innocence and fear is no where to be found!  Where is all that smash the homey fierceness now out of Luscious?  Please, Ray J.  Luscious knew how to deal.  She felt you out and put on that game face…uh…I didn’t know how to tell you and uh…PLEASE!  So basically you know how to do everything else but talk and tell.  Hmmmm.  Spit it out.  Ya smashed a homey.  There.  All out.  Luscious’ heart probably stopped once she saw break dancing homey that she smashed.

Just Right

Anyway all was forgiven, and Just Right went just wrong for not coming on so strong, and Lava was just crazy…as a mug.  Think Ray J got it wrong on this one though.  Yes, Lava should have been tossed but into a ward and Just Right should have stayed in Luscious’ spot.  Besides, Luscious probably has more opportunities to catch.

It has become very obvious that there are still many women out there who are definitely For The Love of Ray J.  Since Ray J’s first show on VH1, though many thought that it would turn out quite the same as the others, it really isn’t, despite the theme being the same.  For the Love of Ray J is a hit, and now that there is a season 2, we hear from the interview he does with MY FOX NY that things are far from over with the artist known as Ray J.
