It’s been long time since Johnny Gill has been seen and heard on stage singing a new tune, however, in the year 2011 around February 14th, Johnny Gill will be giving us new tracks to rock. Already, Johnny Gill has a song called Still Standing, and we are far to familiar with what Still Standing means from what Monica rocked with her sell out album. For Johnny, it means much the same thing. Through all the mess, he is still here. In Johnny’s own words from an interview with STLToday:
It’s addressing the fact I’ve been gone for 15 years and the stuff I had to endure. I’ve been called and named and accused of being everything but a child of God. And people are still sitting around talking about me. Get a life. I’m still here. Whatever you think, I’m still winning. -[source]
By the way, when the album drops next year, don’t look for the who we used to know Johnny Gill on the album. Johnny plans to mix it up a bit to portray who Johnny Gill the man is today. There may even be a bit of reggae to the album, but all that we will wait and see.

OMG, i purchased Johnny Gills new CD the week of release and truly feel in love. I went back to Best Buy and bought a copy for the house. Its not like the music they play now, its old school Luther, LOVE IT. Thank you Johnny!
