So look, everything has officially changed on Usher’s new album, including the art work for the cover for Raymond V Raymond. The album release date is the exact same and stands as March 30th, however, the cover art is a full body shot split up instead of head only. Check it out below.

The old cover art looked like the cover below, thus, glad there was a change. As you can see, the same clothing, just a different shot looks like from the same set and day.
Old Cover Art 4 Raymond V Raymond
This was so predicted as I stated that everything would change up due to the fact that so much of the songs were leaked, including the fact that this isn’t unlikely coming from out of Usher’s camp. There was also a full load of music that I reviewed as the could be album, but warned everyone that it would and could change. Tah dah! I was right. Again, this isn’t a shocker as much of the music and artwork is sometimes dropped for a “feel” with the public. Anyway there was some story or news report that much of the music was stolen out of an SUV in Atl in December 09, so this could be the reason for the leaks and changes to Raymond V Raymond, but not holding my breath on that one because there are some of the same tracks on this official album below. Usher just did some alterations.

Quick Review of Raymond V Raymond:
As we can all see, the first song is called Monstar which was the title to the album at first, so basically it looks as if he went and decided to still use the song, but change the title of the album. Monstar is alright. Can’t get into to it on the first run, so listen to it three times if you want to really like.
Second song has been out for a while – Daddy’s Home. Since it has been out for a while, it has made an official home in the ears of us all. Glad he kept this one on the album because it is a better sounding song in comparison to the others. Here was my original review of this song – “This track was leaked a while ago, and it is a nice sounding track. Still, a relationship song, as most of the songs are on the album, except with this one, the man is actually coming home to a woman instead of spotting her in the streets. This track is a go. No problems with it.”
There Goes My Baby is the third song and a slow jam. It doesn’t sound bad at all, therefore, this one is a go.
Lil Freak with Nicki Minaj is number 4 has been leaked already, and it’s not a fave. Way over the top from the time it was leaked and things haven’t changed on that front. This is a straight sex song so there ya go.
The fifth track She Don’t Know with Ludacris is a fail. The beginning is that corny chant type deal that kills a song off the top and there is way too much yeah yeah chanting throughout the whole song. If ya like that, listen. If ya don’t, turn it off. Ludacris is the best sound on the song as he was the whole lyric of the song.
Number 6 goes to OMG featuring Will. I. Am and no this song isn’t. Again the chanting and the OOOOOOO stuff…kill it. Now the beat is cool as far as a dance feel, and this is the best thing about the song. Surely, this song had to be meant for the whole dance club thing. BTW, this was leaked a minute ago as well.
Mars vs. Venus is a slow jam that takes you all the way back to the old Prince music at the beginning of the song. If you like Prince, this song you will dig. Fantasy is written all over this song, a man and a woman of course as the title mars and venus tells. It’s not a bad song at all.
Pro Lover is the next song with a pretty nice beat behind it, and the overall song is pretty good. The song is about a woman wanting a man who has a hall of fame for getting women. Ego song.
Foolin Around is a great slow jam. This is actually one of the best on the album. The lyrics and all have that genuine meaning, and because of that, people will rock this song for more than just one time. It’s about just what the title says – foolin’ around. Dig it.
Papers – look at old review and glad he kept this one: “this is the very first song on the album, and of course, there was much controversy surrounding this song as it seems to pertain to his marriage to exwife Tameka Raymond Foster. Through denials from those who worked on the song with Usher, the song still thrives as one that is pro getting out of a bad marriage, so sign the papers. A slow jam, but not meant for romance.”
So Many Girls is #11 -totally don’t like. It is like an old stalker song, like an old worn down man staring at a woman on the pole. Thumbs down.
Guilty was already leaked and this song is coming to us with rapper T.I. If you haven’t heard, check a search up top on the bar, and you will hear a pretty good song. Nice beat, nice flow. Not choppy and rushed either.
Okay is a man and woman get it on song. Total strangers and like many other songs bring it, it hooks on a casual sex theme. Not too into this song at all, but the slow and steady beat is nice. Making Love, song 14, is a making love song as the title states, and it of course is a slower jam with a great beat. Gotta give it to him on this one. Making Love is a great sounding song for that cuddly official married couple. Best love song on the album.
There is a song 15 that will released on only on iTunes with the purchase of the album and it is called More. Here is my original review on this club song “Another club track. Fast beat with the better Usher on lyrics. This song is a go.”
Altogether, thank goodness Usher didn’t release that first set of songs that was totally leaked because it would have been an epic Usher fail for Raymond V Raymond. This newest and official Raymond V Raymond is far better than what escaped the first time, and you can bet on at least six songs to pass. How that vibes is a 50/50 shot for the public, but the album isn’t too predictable as a chart topper. I don’t see it hitting the number ones hard, but some of the songs like Making Love and Foolin Around can make the album a listener. Glad there were changes made to the album because it really isn’t an epic fail like the first one would have been.
