Now that Rihanna has started to speak out about the incident that ended her and Chris Brown’s relationship, she has also spoken not only about the incident, but how she recovered.  According to Music News, Rihanna says that Rated R actually helped her recover, and the song Photographs is one of her favorites because of that.

“It’s called ‘Photographs’. It’s about a break-up, and the only thing you have to show for the relationship is some pictures… making this album was my recovery. It’s the way I vented and expressed myself.”

This is exactly what it seems as you listen to her music.  It sounds very dark, but it is also coming from a dark place from within Rihanna as it reveals even that night that ended her “big love”.

In a continuance of the GMA interview with Diane Sawyer, Rihanna states that she doesn’t hate Chris Brown but wants him instead to grow up and do better in his career and life.  Rihanna also described how Chris Brown appeared the night of the beating…as a man with no soul.  His appearance while beating her was one of like he wasn’t even there.  Pure madness.  It was all over another woman texting and Chris’ unwillingness to be wrong and busted.

Things happen, but it’s good that both can choose to grow from this terrible situation.
