Man, they are drafting up the letter and letting Governor Mark Sanford have it tonight. Will he read the letter and weep? Maybe. Two thirds of the committee want Sanford out by the count of the vote, but the word is that Sanford will fight them tooth, nail, house and home to stay. Looks like he has already given up the latter for his job and affair.
The problem really doesn’t lie in the “actual affair” though. Governor Sanford more than likely could have slid on by with that one if he would have just hushed…but nooooo! He wants to be a celebrity it seems, always having people call in to chat, going before the media, keeping his face and name in the news…when will it end? It won’t.
To couple the problem, no one really trusts him anymore. No, no one can be trusted, however, that is the way it falls. People want to see honesty and loyalty in elected officials somehow, and when it fails like it did with a big time cross continent fling as with Sanford along with him telling it as a love story, well, it messes everything up! Oh yeah, and SC (R) Joe “YOU LIE!” Wilson didn’t help the matter either.
Governor Sanford, please fight for your marriage like you are fighting for your job. You don’t need the money, and by the looks of it, SC doesn’t want nor do they need you in office. You are causing more drama than The Real Housewives of Atlanta, man!
