Mirika (ITB) : I went on your website and saw that someone wrote that your book is the relationship bible for women. That grabbed my attention immediately and I said hold up a minute! Is there some stuff in there that I need to know? Tell me, Lesley, more about the book and why this may just be that relationship bible that everyone must read, including men.

First off I would to thank you again for showing interest in "19 reasons why he really left you Honey!" “19 Reasons Why He Really Left You Honey!” is designed to prompt independent women to change and give men a good read to enjoy. It is based on an experienced third party giving readers another point of view, to re-consider their "second nature" actions, that continue to produce less desirable results in their lives. There are various issues discussed by using one main character named Honey in each short story. All of these Honeys are successful in their own right, yet they struggle with various issues such as distrust, selfishness, temptations, lack of understanding, having a negative attitude and control battles, etc. Loosely based on some true stories, "19 Reasons Why He Really Left You Honey's" edginess, and easy addictive reading, shows readers what to do and not to do, in a non-preachy way. It speaks effectively, and encourages today's young adults and believers of faith and love.
Relationship Bible
Like the Bible tells us what to do and not to do otherwise this will happen, that's what my book does as well. I struggled a lot with listening and understanding, so I definitely wanted to write a book in a way that wasn't going to "talk down" to people; rather uplift and entertain them and let them know they are not alone. I think it's relevant to men because it's letting them know, hey, we hear you, we understand some of your struggles with us and it's time to talk about it. It's not about taking sides, it's about understanding from both points of view.
Mirika (ITB) : Have you yourself had to put to use any of the advice written in your book? Some say that experience is the best teacher - do you agree or do you think that it is wiser to learn better before you delve into trouble?
Lesley D. Nurse: Absolutely. In my case I learned the hard way. However I do agree it's always better to learn prior to the drama. But I don't regret the path that was designed for me. It's how I gained confidence to write this book and advise others.
Mirika (ITB) : Now, I noticed something once again …a statement on your site about arguing and how it blocks the relationship’s growth. Some believe that a spat every now and again helps, therefore, explain your view(s) on this issue if you will.
Lesley D. Nurse: There's fair arguing; you take time and let the other person speak and share their view, maturely, honestly, lovingly and in a timely way. Then there is battling. And as a wise man told me, "you don't go toe to toe with your man".
Mirika (ITB) : Since this is a relationship type book, what out of these five things do you believe cause the majority of marriages to fail and why? I say marriages because the divorce rate is staggering across the globe and most nowadays are beginning to shun the bond that is actually holy. Now the choices are trust, unreal expectations from the beginning, boredom, evolving money issues or blame gaming.
Lesley D. Nurse: Wow. It's not listed directly but I would say all of these issues stem from fear. When you fear, you are crippled and it blocks you from living your life by design.
