Beijing - Stuck On 'Looks' Of The Matter And Not Reality
|
So why get the prettier girl to sing- no pretend to sing - at the Olympics...for Beijing's selfish reasons. Not cool for the two girls however because both will possibly suffer from this decision, especially the little girl knocked off because she wasn't pretty enough. They took her voice though. For one girl, it is better for her to be heard and not seen and the other, better for her to be seen while she shuts up.
What type of message does that send to the world? Not quite the one Beijing would hope for. It is totally understood how they would want perfect Olympic games in their country, but not at the cost of criticizing little children.
Adults...what are they thinking? Why not tell them both that they are beautiful? They are! For a 7 year old girl to get her hopes up and then be told that she isn't pretty enough? That is cruel. No matter how anyone puts it, that was the craziest thing to do for an Olympic opener. It would have been just as cute to see any child sing at the Olympics.
This was a Millie Vanilli type deal and something awful to do to little girls. We heard the voice of Yang Peiyi and got the person of Lin Miaoke. Both beautiful girls but a sad shame what adults have done for an Olympic cause. Only with high hopes, this doesn't affect either girl in a bad way.

I hadn't heard of that one, thankfully. Millie Vanilli were adults, but seven year old kids? I wonder if the relevant decision maker is proud...

Nothing suprises me about what they do to their little girls over there, if not mistaken, isn't that the country that was known to have the infant girl babies killed, due to their lack of respect for the female species anyways? It may have been China, but oh-well; they're all the same over there. All females have little appreciation value, including the girls.
