Barack Obama Wins North Carolina And Across All Racial Lines

Barack Obama's winning smile

The wave for this 2008 election is to color a vote, and if you do that, Barack Obama won NC and crossed all the racial barriers while doing it. NC is mostly Caucasian and most of his vote, then, came from that population. He also won the African American vote there.

This is exceptional being that the whole time he has run his campaign, the media has stated that he needs a highly populated black vote, but they can't say this anymore. Clearly, race isn't as heavy an issue in this election as some planned it to be.

Obama has proven his leadership ability to the public as well as his survivablity when critiqued and mocked for various reasons from the top of the governement on down. What the public likes most about him is that he is real.

Congrats on his NC win.

When you win 92% of the black vote as a black -half-black to some- candidate; then 'yes' race has played a big part.

Clearly if the black vote weren't so overwhelmingly supportive of Obama, he'd be in Hillary's stilettos today.
