While a teenager, Mindy McCready says that she can't deny the relationship that she had with Clemens, however, the details of what type of relationship she did not uncover as it being sexual, but it was mostly described as a friendship.

She (McCready) did say this to the Daily News: "Yes, I have known Roger Clemens for a long time," "He's a kind and caring man. He's also a legendary athlete."

Reported earlier by the Daily News, it was stated that after a meeting together with one another in a hotel which wasn't intimate, the relationship later on down the line became physically intimate after her rise to country stardom.

McCready's family knew of the relationship that they had together, however, voices that the relationship from their knowledge was platonic.
