The Haitian people have rose up in rebellion against the astronomical rise in food prices over the last several weeks in the Caribbean nation.

Food is no laughing matter when you have thousands upon thousands hungered and attempting to feed themselves as well as their families.
The tragedies occuring in Haiti over the food prices are continuing to mount as it has soared to another degree. A UN worker from Nigeria was yanked from his vehicle and executed with a shot through the neck, according to Times Online.
Without food, how can any country have peace? It is a necessity above most other things besides the air we all breathe. It is evident that hunger leads to death - in more terrible ways than one. This is the tragedy going on right now in Haiti.
