Do you remember this woman when she was Looking For A New Love and posing the question Don't You Want Me?  Or we can even go back a bit further to when this lady got her start with Shalamar.  If the picture doesn't ring a bell, then listening to her top ten hits will.  Her name is Jody Watley and she is a legend of music.  Born in Chicago but raised up in LA starting her whole career out dancing.  She was even on the the famed SOUL TRAIN. 

As time passed on and still while she was in her young years, Watley, only after making it big with Shalamar,

would go on over to Europe to work on some music there and then head back to the USA to launch her ever powerful solo career when in 1987 she dropped her first single - I'm Looking For A New Love.  Then later Still A Thrill.  Eventually she hit numero uno with the song Real Love on the charts from her Larger Than Life Album.

Some of the latest news on Jody Watley is when she will appear at the Java Jazz Festival 2008 in March (officially Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival which takes place in Jakarta, Indonesia.  It appears that she is still stomping for music and it this festival will assist in placing and keeping music on the map in Jakarta.
